Sometimes whoever sets the prices at the supermarket makes me scratch my head. Recently carrots were $1.69/lb. I needed about 3 carrots. However next to the single carrots were 5/lb bags of carrots for, get this, $1.99! Naturally I had to buy the bag. If I could figure out how to use one or two extra carrots I'd be ahead.

I never cooked carrot soup before, I'm not much of a cook having only recently learned the very most basic kitchen skills. Anyway with so many carrots I had to do something. So I made a double recipe of carrot soup. Healthy and pretty good!

14 carrots down, now with the leftover carrots maybe I'll go and spoil it by making carrot cake... :)
